Dear Alan, thank you for your investigation, I will reformulate the text above. I didn’t want to value the different modes. In most cases the construction (and its restrictions) will determine the preferred solution. My goal with all parameters is to give maximum freedom for constructions ideas (like the cantilevered options).
If you have not endstops connected to the Duet, DWC displays status Endstop hit Yes, this is a bit confusing. Maybe it’s possible to have a status like ? if there is no endstop connected.
I would add a link to a troubleshooting guide if the connection does not work. E.g. if the router blocks unknown MAC addresses, conflicting IP addresses etc.
At the beginning I would add “If you have a Duet WiFi, then…”, same in Step 8. It is implicit in the title, but can be overread.
